Nearly a month...

It has been nearly a month since I decided that saying good bye to most of the social media platforms I was using was the best decision in order to move forward. I am here to report that these days have been the most incredible and rewarding days of the year. I have been able to stop and smell the roses. Although I will always take photos because that is in my nature, I don't feel the pressure to share everything as it happens. As a result of that, I have been able to enjoy the moments as they come instead of having to relive them through my Instagram feed or photos. I have a private Instagram, in which I plan to keep my "followers" at a minimum (limited to friends, family and those I have built a relationship with through YouTube) because I more enjoy being able to partake in what others have shared than sharing myself. I also find that because I have limited the platforms in which I am participating in, I have more time to spend with my friends, family and loved ones. The only day that I set aside time to work on my blog and YouTube channel is Saturday. If I do anything else on other days, it is because it was something that happened in the spur of the moment...i.e. my wedding cake tasting OOTD. I wasn't planning on sharing that but I wanted to share that I am an every day woman like each of you. I have my favorite pieces in my closet that I could wear until I am blue in the face, my Guess skinny jeans being one of them.

What else is new?

Wedding planning has been the such a fun experience and I hate that it is passing by so quickly. Each day I wake up and think where has time gone.

Work is going really well! I have been such a busy bee as we approach year end, which I love! Looking forward to having three days off next week. Rico & I decided not to do any Christmas gifts this year so there is no pressure to decide what to get for one another. We are traveling to Miami again soon for a vacation...we are getting married in 2014...we are constantly buying something for the I feel like we give one another gifts all year 'round. So, this year...we shall focus on the true reason for the season.

As far as the house, it really is a dream come true. We prayed that we would be able to own our first home in 2013 and managed to make it happen. I am convinced even more that we made the best decision for us given where we are at in our lives. Very happy that our offer wasn't accepted on the first house we put an offer on, very happy we didn't build a single family home in Frisco, very happy we waited until God said it was time. Not to mention, neither of us have a commute longer than 10 minutes. That was something that was a non-negotiable for us as first-time home buyers.

There's so much happening right now that I could go on for days!

Let me know if you want an update on anything else.
