What Happened This Week!?

I am due for my Sunday photo roundup but as I looked through my photos for the week, I am not sure what occurred! I have pics of flowers, food and the outdoors! I feel like I lost my photo mojo this week and it could be because of work but that is to be discussed at a later date. I did not want to let you all down this week because a lot of people have stated they look forward to these kind of posts so I want to share what I have! I tried to include some photos of what I eat healthy during the week to stay in shape!

I am off to finish the laundry now! Have a wonderful day!

Other Tidbits:

* I am not straightening my hair this week because its supposed to rain every single day from now until Thursday! I will be living that 'bun life' all week...until the next wash day.

* Currently, I am doing Sunday laundry! Headed to see Think Like a Man Too shortly for the first showing of today!

* If you read last week's post...this next statement will make sense. My closet is still a disaster! And I just cant find the time to correct that situation. It gives me a slight anxiety attack every time I go in there because its not organized or at least by my standards.

And now some encouragement for the week that I came across on Instagram over the weekend...

Be sure to live in the moment. God wants you to enjoy what is happening in your LIFE right now. That will best prepare you for what is up next. Don't live in the future because guess what...the future hasn't happened yet. Life feels the most rewarding when you enjoy the present!

New Products from First Aid Beauty, Stila, Donna Karan, Bliss + Sonia Kashuk

Hey there beautiful girls! New products time! I have picked up a few products from Target and Sephora that I wanted to share with you. Its a little bit of skincare and a few makeup products that I am excited to to try for the first time.

< shop my new items here >

This first product I picked up is the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo in Glisten 52. Apparently this product has been on the market for a while so I am not sure how I am just finding out about it. The colors can be mixed to create a glow for the cheeks, just in time for summer. I will be wearing this product in a future 'makeup of the day' post so I will definitely be sure to let you know how it performs. You can view the swatches Tina from The Fancy Face did here.

The second product I read about on Essie Button's blog! I am sure you already probably know her, but if you don't...please go to show her blog and YouTube channel some love! The Stila convertible color in Petunia can be used on either the cheeks or the lips. I will more than likely only use this products for my cheeks as I am not of fan of using these kind of products on my lips! That is what my two million plus lipsticks are for! I am planning to use this product as a base for my powder blushes that seem to melt off my face during the hotter months in Texas.

I have already made mention of this next product before. I have wanted to try the BLISS Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam for a while. Although my skin is quite sensitive and acne-prone, I think that it will react well to this product. If it doesn't, I will be sure to let you all know. This product is meant to leave the skin feel hydrated, energized and refreshed! We will see if it does all that it claims!

Tati from Glam Life Guru on YouTube totally made me do it! I should do a post about all the products YouTube 'made me buy'. I am sure it would be too many products for one post. I picked up this DONNA KARAN Cashmere Mist Deodorant as an alternative to my everyday deodorant from Degree. I love that it is lightly fragranced and I have been wearing it every single day since I picked it up. It has so far survived all of my outdoor escapades!

On a side note, is there any product that you can remember that you picked up only because I mentioned it either on YouTube or my blog? Or is there a product you picked simply because it was recommended on YouTube?

The last two products are both from First Aid Beauty. I have been loving both the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy and the Facial Radiance Polish that I decided to add two more products to my skincare arsenal. Their products are very sensitive, acne-prone skin friendly.  I purchased the Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask and the Ultra Repair Facial Moisturizer. The verdict is still out on both of these because I purchased them very recently. I have only experienced great things with this brand thus far so two new products are worth giving a chance.

Mani & Pedi, Lark On the Park & Double Date

Hey there beautiful girls! As promised, here is my photo roundup for this week! This week was quite incredible for reasons I cannot quite discuss as of yet. But, I will focus on what I can share. I have been super busy at work (which is nothing new) as I try to manage my portfolio while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance, as well as working out and eating healthy. I didn't do much this week until Friday. I took a personal day just to recharge and refresh. I ended up having a lunch date with babe at Lark on the Park. After I went to Posh Nail Spa in West Village to get a quick mani/pedi! It was quite the deal since they charge $45 for a signature manicure and pedicure (without gel). Later on that night, we met up with our friends Brooke & Charles. Brooke is my New York model love who happened to be in town visiting her boyfriend Charles who only is here for a few months on a temporary work assignment. Babe & I love spending time together but double dates are just as fun! There is a photo of me & Brooke below. The guys aren't pictured! Its so funny because we ended up running into them at the DMA yesterday totally by chance. She is here until Thursday so we are having a get together at Charles' place on Monday, which should be a blast because we will be cooking & drinking wine.

Other Tidbits:

* I need to wash my hair tomorrow! I tried to switch wash days from Thursday to Sunday so I am not up all night after deep conditioning my hair.

* I have a lot to get done around the house, but hubby & I are always on the go. I always hold down the kitchen and the laundry, but the blinds are dusty and the baseboards need a good wiping. That is next on my agenda! And I need to do my weekly brush laundry!

* We have settled on a timing for when we plan to get our fur babies! We want to get them when we get back from visiting the DMV in September.

*My closet is a disaster! Just thought you would want to know that! haha!

Dallas Museum of Art Adventure

Hey there beautiful girls! Happy Saturday! I wanted to share a brief photo recap from our Dallas Museum of Art adventure we did today. After having a double date last night with our friends {Brooke & Charles}, we knew that we wanted to be active today and continue our weekend tradition of exploring Dallas. We have lived here for 4+ years and never been to the Dallas Museum of Art until today. It was a very awesome experience to finally visit because hubby & I both enjoy going to museum and learning about things that are foreign to us.

Being 5'10", I had to stand next to this artwork to show you the scale of how large it was.

My greatest takeaway from our museum adventure today was for me to continue to appreciate other people for who they are...to appreciate our differences. I leave you with this:
