Makeup Essentials #itserikawyatt

Hello there beauties. I thought I would announce it here now that I believe I have shared it everywhere else! I have officially established an Instagram account to once again support my blogging platform. Come find me on Instagram at itserikawyatt. Check out what I have posted thus far!

I posted this photo yesterday on Instagram and thought I would give some more details here on zeee blog regarding what I consider to be my...makeup essentials. Although I change out my lipstick and blush often, the other products are staples in my everyday makeup routine.

Of course, I start my makeup routine daily with clean moisturized skin. On the days I wear makeup, I use the Lait-Crème Concentré by Embryolisse as my moisturizer and primer. I have found that using this product as a moisturizer helps my foundation to glide on smoothly and also keeps my skin moisturized under my makeup.

Before I apply any other face products, I apply the NARS Pro-Prime smudgeproof eyeshadow base to my oily eyelids because it is a MUST. Next, I apply the Black Opal Foundation to my skin directly from the tube and then I blend using the ELF flat top kabuki brush or any kabuki style foundation brush that I have clean. If I need more blending after that, I will use my BeautyBlender but I have my routine down to a science so I often do not reach for my BeautyBlender.

I then apply my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to the bridge of my nose, between my eyebrows extending slightly onto my forehead and under my eyes. I then set the product right after application with the MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation. I will often alternate which product I use to set my under eye concealer. My favorite product to set under my eyes is the Sacha Camoflauge Setting Powder. I then set the rest of my face with the MAC Studio Fix Powder plus Foundation before moving onto a natural contour.

I then apply the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation stick in a shade that is one to two shades deeper than my natural skin tone to the hollows of my cheek and to my forehead temples. I then blend it in before setting it with the Anastasia Contour Powder in Copper Brown. I tried to use the Anastasia Contour Kit that my bestie hunted down for us but I just don’t find that the shades compliment my skin tone. I still own it and try to use it from time to time…but it’s not my favorite.

After the contour is complete, I apply blush (Becca Mineral Blush in Songbird) and highlighter (Sephora Collection MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer in Stardust). The last couple steps for the eyes and lips! I apply the MAC Fluidline Eye Pencil in Earth Sign on my upper lash line and I smoke it out with a blending brush so that it doesn’t look like a line. I want it to appear more effortless! I then apply my favorite mascara of the moment by MAC to give my lashes a lift. You can curl your lashes before application of your mascara! That is what I do to give my natural lashes a boost and it really has made a difference.

The last step to finish off my daily makeup routine is to apply lipsticks! Many of you know that I am a fan of bright colors! It is my jam! I just haven’t fell head over heels in love yet with a nude lip color. On this day, I went for the Tom Ford Lip Color in Violet Fatale. This is one of my favorite lip colors of all time!

Until next time…
