Next Stop, Rome

Hey there beautiful girls! I am so glad that the photos I shared in my last post about Tuscany were enjoyed! It truly represented only a small part of our actual time in Tuscany because lets face it...I can't share everything! I want to say we had over 300 photos from our visit to Tuscany so what I shared was a very small percentage of those.

Our next stop on our trip was 4 days in Rome...

Rome is such a unique place. While the hustle and bustle of Rome reminds me a lot of New York, the city offers enough character and history to heighten your senses. Our trip to Rome was full of fun from the guided tour of Vatican City to spending a 1/2 day touring the Colosseum and The Roman Forum to eating authentic Italian pizza at the local spots!

Here are our tour suggestions:

Skip the Line: Colosseum Tour with Roman Forum and Palatine Hill

Best of Rome Walking Tour (includes the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain)

Combination: Rome in a Day Tour

Vatican Tour that include Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica

If you want to eat, here are a few of our favorites:

DillĂ  (very nice restaurant located close to the Spanish Steps)

Venchi Patheon (gelato + chocolate = happy happy Erika!)

La Fontana di Venere (imagine having lasagna with prosciutto a few steps away from the Trevi Fountain)

Belle Italia (Tuscany)

Hey there beautiful girls! If you follow me on Instagram, you will already know I spent the two weeks exploring Italy and Spain with my husband. This is a trip we have been planning since last July (2015) and I must say all the preparation was well worth it!

First up on our trip was catching a high speed train from Rome to Florence. It was in Florence that our exploration of Tuscany began. We stayed in Florence at Hotel Cerretani Firenze MGallery by Sofitel. Although we stayed in Florence, we visited Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa during The Best of Tuscany Tour with Walkabout Florence. Stefano was an excellent tour guide and shared so much with us about the history of Tuscany.

I just wanted to share a highlight reel of our time in Tuscany!

If you are curious, the other places in Italy on our bucket list are Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Sardinia.
